IMO Johnson should go over Walcott as he is really not up to it at this moment in time, but they see something in him so think he will get the nod. I also think if you go off players seasons then Bent should go ahead of Heskey but they like what he does for the team and apprantley Rooney likes playing off him so that's why he goes.

Parker goes ahead of Carrick on form and ahead of Huddleston on being better defensively. He is our best ball winner and we'll need him if Barry isn't right or has a set back.

Heskey goes ahead of Bent beause he brings out the best in Rooney. I don't think Bent offers enough at this level and Heskey is a better bet even with his lack of golas last season.

Upson, Warnock and Dawson are easy omissions.

AJ edges out SWP.

I toyed with leaving out Baines with Carragher/Barry providing cover at LB if needs be. This would allow for Huddleston or Bent to go. I wouldn't be surprised to see both Baines and Warnock left befind.

Hart wont play if he goes. SWP would probably be cringe worthy, Jonno might manage to make an impact as a late sub.

i'd take 5 strikers as well ,but with capello being italian he'll choose only 4 so Bent will be left out , as has been mentioned shrek and heskey do play fairly well together
defence i'd leave carragher out as he's played crap for the scouse scum when i've seen him this season and a game every 3/4 days might be to much ,though he'll go just to keep the other scouse tw_t happy ,so warnock,dawson ,upson from the defence
i'd love SWP to go but really he didn't turn it on for us this season why would you take him ahead of johnson? same goes for walcott not had the best of seasons for the Arse ,the last player i'd kick off the plane would be iether carrick or parker i think the latter will be left behind
