TEAM NEWS

Ivory Coast coach Sven-Goran Eriksson must decide whether or not to risk captain Didier Drogba, who broke a bone in his arm on 4 June. If he is ruled out, Seydou Doumbia is set to replace him up front alongside Salomon Kalou.

Portugal's defensive midfielder, Pepe, only made his comeback from a serious knee injury against Mozambique last week, so he may have to settle for a place on the bench.

Simao has declared himself fit after a minor knee complaint and is likely to start, given Nani's departure from the squad with a collarbone injury.

this one could be a cracker of a game ... i really hope drogba can play, though I'm sure they'd have to arm so numb I can't see how it wouldn't affect him.

I've a sneaky feeling he will play - it's such an important game.

So a-ring-a-ding-dong is lone striker then - I wonder if Drogba will come on at some point if needed though.

I see those two things as mutually exclusive. Call me old-fashioned but I believe the very best don't need to cheat.

Diving cunt and diving cunt is about the best I can manage, I'm afraid.

That pitch looks worse than Wembley - it's cut to shreds already.

I think it's Demel at RB - he's playing in their half most of the time though so maybe Toure is covering a lot.

Good game so far. Hope Ronaldo breaks his legs, horrible horrible cunt. Kalou should be subbed, keeps giving the ball away in promising positions. Gervinho looks like a good player
