TEAM NEWS

Injured Italy keeper Gianluigi Buffon will be replaced by Cagliari's Federico Marchetti. Buffon is suffering from a herniated disc in his back, and Italy are unsure when he will be able to return.

The Azzurri are tipped to switch to the 4-4-2 formation that Marcello Lippi used in the second half against Paraguay. Either Antonio Di Natale or Vincenzo Iaquinta will partner Alberto Gilardino up front. Playmaker Andrea Pirlo remains sidelined by a calf problem.

New Zealand midfielder Tim Brown is expected to be available after recovering from shoulder surgery. He could replace veteran defender Ivan Vicelich, who filled in as a holding midfielder in the 1-1 draw with Slovakia on Tuesday.

One booking from suspension: Camoranesi (Italy), Lochhead & Reid (both New Zealand)

Not a bad sub for Pirlo when you have Montolivero on your bench.

Gotta be thinking "Go New Zealand" but only out of hatred for those Italian wankers who keep screwing Australia.

I'm still nowhere near as convinced as the commentators that it was offside, can't see much of a touch off a New Zealand head if I'm honest. Maybe I need a HD tv

I have an HDtv and IQ so I rewound it a bunch of times and I can't see a touch.

Well then I'm glad it's not just me. Tyldesley and Coleman were going overboard about it as soon as it hit the back of the net, even said "If you're sat at home thinking it wasn't offside cos of the Italian touch then you're wrong". Patronising eejit

Thank you, you patronising cunts for explaining the offside rule to viewers who are still stumped at your idiotic assumption there was a touch and probably know the offside rule concerning incidental contact better than you anyway.

The Italians have been an embarrasment to football today. Any form of contact and they are rolling around like they have been shot. They are desperate to get the NZL 14 sent off, cheeting cunts!!

I just watched the ball on super slo-mo as they are making a huge deal over it, and they are all saying it's a touch, but the rotation of the ball, which is the big give away to me, never changes. No touch, correct decision, FUCK OFF SAYING IT WAS OFFSIDE.

The young lad who has just come on for New Zealand Chris Wood is all of 18 years old, I would love for him to pop up with the winner.

Brilliant work from the New Zealand keeper, had a shocker against Slovakia but really kept the Kiwis in this one.

Agree entirely and it's also nice to see it's not just us cocking up. England, Spain, Italy and France all struggling. Would've thought it?
