I know there has been a lot spoken about Englands, shall I say, average performance against Algeria at the weekend. But one game stuck in my mind whwn people were calling saturdays knockabout the "worst" they'd ever seen from England

NORWAY 2 ENGLAND 0 1993

For those who haven't seen it, DON'T. THAT was the nadir.

If you've seen worse in a competitive game, tell me, because the game v Algeria was only purgatory compared to the Lee Sharpe at left back hell we saw that balmy evening in Oslo(If it ever gets balmy in Oslo)

I've got a lot of Norwegian mates & they all saw the Graeme Taylor 'Do I Not like That' programme. Shortly afterwards it was possible to actually have them crying with laughter by reciting some of his one liners in a Taylor accent. 'Fuckinell they're in here....oh fuckinell...' is enough to set them off even today if they've had a few.
