I think apart from the cross to Defoe he did work hard but looked rather average.

He wasn't outstanding, very workmanlike and again if we pay anywhere near £30M for him we are fucking mugs.

We are already mugs, so we might as well continue to be mugs.

Disagree we gotta stand up sometime and be open so people don't try take us for mugs..

Who is this "WE" because you and Slimmy aint gotta stop the club bidding £30m are you?

You asked for views on signing him, then berate those that give you a reply because of the vernacular?

You are a fucking testy little cunt tonight.

I really hope we get him, thought he played really well today despite the first 20 mins where he was poor.

If we pay 30mill for Milner I would have serious concerns about the weight of that price tag hanging around his neck. It's far to much for what he is, a decent young English player.

Not really.

I think £30m for him is a little much, but Im saying that aint gonna stop us bidding for him is it?

A little much? IMHO twice as much as he is worth.

We are going to pay over the odds for him no matter what just because it's city so I don't really think that is an issue to be honest but if he can provide crosses like that on a regular basis and we have the front man to get on the end of them then in my opinion it will be money well spent

he is a good player and proven prem player. He showed a good determination to follow his instructions and get the end product into the box today.. on a fair few occasions. That is something that England wingers fail to do consistently on the big stage. Personally i like his detmination in games and his no frills approach, plus he turns up. Lets see how well he gets on in the rest of the WC chances he gets. I believe City have offerd 20mill so im not sure where 30 comes from. I think a lot of the figures quoted in the press are just guesswork for all the players we are trying to get and the real figures may be well short of what is being hyped.

As I thought he was outstanding today.

You gayer, he'd be a 'Proper Player' for us, but is he outstanding?

I saw two good crosses, neither of which any of our players would've got anywhere near. Other than that, a good shift, but thirty million? Do me a favour. Eight or ten maybe.

MON has come out and said he wouldn't let Milner go for less than £30M and maybe not even then.

he had a good game. he is a good player but like the majority i think it'd be madness to spend £30million on him. for less money we could probably get someone like ozil.

9 mil and a squad player, any offers?

Much improved team performance, with a decent shift from Milner.

Only you lot would even dream of offering £30M for him though. There's promise and then there's world-beating ability.

If he comes in between those two concepts, he's closer to the former than the latter.

Decent enough player and would be a great addition to our squad as he can play in a number of positions and formations, a proper midfield/forward utility player. Having said all that I'd be dissapointed if we spent more than £20mil on him but hey, it ain't my cash
