Blue spec off now, talking to any other fan the first thing they point out is that our defence is shit.

Do you think Mankini is working on a decent left and right back?

Hope so

Me too...unlike a lot on here I think RB is the most pressing...Bridge/Lescott/Boateng are all left sided

whereas the right is Richards/Zabs/Onouha...none of which I have much faith in

Kolarov is heading toward 'done deal' category on the foreign websites. Now he signed Boateng I'd be surprised if we get another CB. I thought Boateng was actually RB/CB though, it's just the Germans had him on the left out of position? Correct if I'm wrong.

No. Boateng is right footed and prefers playing CB (he's also performed best there), LB is his third choice position.

I think Lescott and Kompany could be a decent partnership, Bridge is shit, Zabs a liability...

No player should come in and just expect a starting place, let alone a starting place for his brother !

I think Lescott is still good enough and we are still too early to write him off (spent most of his time since he signed for us on the injury list) . He was great for Bin Dippers blue and could be for us given enough time however I think he will be nothing more than a bench warmer this season. Kolo has had a pretty damn good world cup I thought he looked really strong and I thought him and Kompany were a good partnership. Our RB problem has finally been solved as Zab was shit so LB is left to sort.

I think it was a blessing for Lescott not to go to the WC. I would hope that he has had a good break and comes back fully charged and ready to go. He will also not have all the mither and stress he had last year with the transfer saga. I think he will deliver for us this year and was starting to find a bit of form before the lay off. I cant see him warming any bench IMO.

That. Truly our best back four, personally i think if we moved Lescott to LB he would do really well, after all he played his best stuff for Everton at LB.
