Can anyone tell me why..if David Silva is so good..why has he had so little pitch time in this world cup?
I'm delighted he has come to City..and he is obviously very highly regarded by fans and peers alike so why is he benchwarming?
Puzzled of Manchester

You could ask the same question of Fabregas. Although to be fair, he has at least been brought on.
Even Torres sometimes starts on the bench. The Spanish squad is full to the brim of talent.
Pedro scored 23 goals last season for Barca from the wing and he bench warms as well.

Maybe the manager isn't too happy about him sorting his contract whilst supposedly concentrating on the WC?
Plus the amount of talent in the squad, he may just be a second choice.

Probably because he is up against two of the best midfielders in the world (Xavi and Iniesta).

Rawk & Ragcafe phoned the manager up to tell him he's over-rated, that's why he doesn't play him.

I presume it's because he usually plays on the wing but Spain play without wingers. There would be an option to play him when torres goes off and villa moves up front, but manager doesn't seem to want to turn to him. We could always pretend he failed his medical to get out of the deal

Because he told the Spanish boss that he didn't want to represent their two bit country, as he had signed a deal to play for a proper team.
He also wanted to keep his mind clear so that he was ready to absorb the wisdom of his new coach...Platt.

He started the the first match against Switzerland and played 61 minutes. That one didn't end well, did it ! Haven't seen him since.

The more rest our players get pre-season the better for me.
