Ronaldos baby

Postby Wooders » Mon Jul 05, 2010 1:33 pm

Anyone heard this? A mystery woman in america has had his son and he will be the "exclusive guardian" of the child in Spain

Smacks of "surragate mother" and "gay couple" to me

I think its a sad state of affairs that no prof footballer can come out as gay because of the type of people that watch football. You can only imagine the abuse.

How would some of you feel to supporting an openly gay footballer??? Would you find if difficult.

I know within the women's game the FA are in complete denial about this and have tried to sex up the appeal of some of the England women players to appeal to men, poster campaigns and such. The irony was some of the girls they have used are more gay than me and thats saying something!!

You're obviously too young to remember what happened with Morley and Bishop at City Fu and remember Justin Fashanu?

Can't remember Blues layin into any of em. In fact Bish loved it so much he came back to us and played a superb cameo role in later years.

Ive got to say I am with SOF on this one, I dont think a pro footballer will ever come out ( not if they want to stay in the game ). Although there is a rumour that Max Clifford handles three gay premier league players, and is paid an awful lot of money to keep them in the closet.

Not sure about the whole Bishop, Morley story. Wasnt that just about a disgruntled wife ? And as for Fashanu, I wouldnt point to that as a success story either !

I know Justin commited sucide but i dont think that i had anything to do with football fans. As for Bish and Trickey Trev, was he not stabbed over this incident and was it ever proven?? To add we also has had Stevie Coppell, was his 33 day stint ended over some rumour of gayness with someone at the club???

Yep, you are correct about all of the above. Justin was about to be arrested and charged with sexual abuse, but I think its generally accepted that he left the English game because of the tratment he received after he came out. Thats how I remember it, but I am old, and have killed way too many brain cells with aclohol !

This would not bother me in the least. As it is estimated that up to 10% of males are either openly gay (or don't actually realise they are) it would stand to reason that up to 10% of footballers could be anyway.

All I am bothered about is how they play, not their sexuality. In fact, I would have even more respect for the gay ones if they actually came out and admitted it in a 'good for him' type of way.

Finally, for the record, I am totally sure and comfortable with my own sexuality.

Basically, I am a lesbian ...... trapped in a mans body!!
