City Sign Albert Rusnak

Manchester City have signed Slovak starlet Albert Rusnak, according to MFK Kosice.

The Slovakian outfit have revealed that Rusnak, who has previously spent time on trial at Eastlands, has finalised his move to England.

Kosice have agreed an undisclosed deal with City, who have handed Rusnak a three-year contract.

Rusnak is the latest Kosice player to seal a move abroad following on from the likes of Nemanja Matic - who joined Chelsea last summer.

"I have no doubt in my mind that many other young talents we have in our club will also have their opportunity," said MFK Kosice head of football development Allen Bula.

Looking about the net seems Sven gave him a trial back in 2007.

His age appears to be 'starlet'.

Its on the Kosice web site so I assume it must be genuine. It must be nearly two years since I first saw him play for the under 16s.

I googled him and he appears in this thread -
http://www.xtratime.org/forum/archive/i ... 82920.html

There's an out of date link to Setanta in there which says he was on trial in 2007 like you said.

Looking at the xtratime link, he was named as a City player in April. Heard that today is his 16th birthday, which might explain why he's now 'signed'.

Need info from someone who watches the kids regularly. Pat Rice, perhaps

I saw him play for the under 16s last season and the previous season. It came as a suprise reading the thread title as I heard he wasnt being taken on and was going to Fulham.Sometimes clubs chang etheir minds when making a decision of this type.

Think Doug just mentioned him on Training Topic.
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

No I think the guy I was referring to is somebody else. I watched the under 16's afew times last and like Stockport blue I think Albert was playing and has been for a while. Certainly there was an Albert and there aren't too many of those around.

Alright. Just thought name sounded similar to the one you mentioned on training topic.

We all hear about the U18's side of the academy but seeing as you two watch the U16's are there any decent lads that we should keep an eye on for the next few years to see how they progress in that age group and lower?
