Doing my usual rounds of the fans forums and dropped in our bankrupt scouse friends.
http://www.redandwhitekop.com/forum/ind ... c=260299.0I cannot believe that a good proportion on there are refusing to buy their little children (8 year old in this case) the official shirt and buying a protest shirt for them instead.
It's cruel to deny a little boy/girl to pull on the shirt of their heroes and pretend they are them kicking the ball around in the local park.
Always the victims aren't they - that site is no longer about football and purely about political/ownership protesting.

As a scouser it is with much regret that i whole heartedly agree with your comment. Although I will support my club til I pop my clogs I barely recognise some of the fans liverpool football club supposedly has nowadays. Yes, we're in the shit and yes we've been screwed but don't use the club's situation to turn on your own if an opinion differs from your own. There is a vile, militant strain amongst some of the fans and its poisonous. There are those that support the football good or bad and will wait patiently for things to come good and there are those who act like a private army trying to launch a coup against dictators. To them its all out war and if anyone goes against them they are crucified. It's sickening. Support the club and the football and it will come right again. Cause a load of shit and you'll end up in more shit! Rant over. Have a good season.....x

The thing I really don't get is that from what I understand the people they are protesting about are basically out on their ears whilst RBS try to sell the club. Yes they will get something out of the sale but the bank are now in charge of the sale process, so what's the point of having a big protest rally as they did at the weekend?

if it was City and we were owned by a pair of cunts who didnt have a clue and everyone hated, plus they were dragging the club in the wrong direction, wouldnt you do everything you could to try and make a difference or bring attention to the plight?

We did mate, only it was just 1 cunt. Although through my blue tinted specs I don't remember anything like the of the in-fighting and vitriol that is being spewed on Red and White Kocks between "supporters".

Nothing suprises me with scousers it is never their fault and they always need to be heard. The two morons at the club who I hope stay for years are openely trying to sell the place so why protest?

my scouse flatmate is boycotting games this season cos of it all. this shows its not about football with them. i have been going to city games for many years and if i'm honest i've probably seen far more shite performances than good ones but i love the sights and sounds of a match day every single time i go. i'm yet to be impressed by mancini's football, it goes against my personal philosophy on how the game should be played, but i'll be there every week none the less because the drama that can unfold within a game is more extraordinary than any of the signings a team can make or the politics of a football club. and lets just see how many boycotters there are if hodgson has them in the top 4 after 6 weeks. the other thing they don't realise is that they actually are such a big club around the world that no amount of boycotters will actually affect ticket sales, they might think its shit that there are no scousers at the ground and its filled with irish and japanese but that ground will never stop selling out, so scousers you might as well go and enjoy the football cos you ain't gonna change a thing!

Can you imagine what it would be like on City forums if the t'net was about during the last days of Swales? Madness.
