Just a brief one today. Everybody out again including Bellers but Vinnie wasn't taking part in the contact stuff. I think he wanted to but the physios decided he shouldnt. He got a deadleg and needs another day or so before he he is 100%.Again Mancini spent a good time with a reserve team working on shape and team defensive movements and then for a short spell brought a few others over to help with some attack v defence work. Freddie Vasselis and Sean Tse I believe came across to help ( I hope I havent got a name wrong again)While I got a chance I had a brief look at the resrves just in time to see Benali score a beauty.

All was good although it seemed Trippier twisted his ankle a bit trying to stop Guidetti get a shot in and had to get a bit of strapping on but he carried on soon after. But then the 1st team came out for much of the usual stuff and again nice that it was not behind fences and close to the few watchers. It seemed it would be lighter than usual session but then they had some 1 on one routines which were great fun and the goal was right aginst the fence we were all at.Best of the attackers were Ade/Bellers, Jo struggled , Caicedo was hit and miss and it's not Stevie best thing not Kelvin's. Zaba was excellent at the defending , Vieira was excellent a couple of time but taking him on early and wide was easy, Micah was ok and Bridge also did very well .He actually collapsed after one go at it where he did well but it took a while and and said he was shot to the physio. He promptly ignored him and sent him out again where he did very well again.

It all finished with them breaking into 3 groups. One played head tennis and the other 2 a sort of 5 a side during which I departed.MJ was out again working hard and looking quite good but there is no set time for him to be back just yet. October would seem a decent guess for starters. A guy watching and taking pictures said have a look at the official site for the pictures he was taking as they would be on there.I am off to have a look.

I was trying to find a scenario where he redeemed himself the other day. It's just not going to happen is it?

I think it's a couple of weeks before the season starts, forgive me if I'm wrong but I'm sure it is.

I do like the way that Mancio is indoctrinating the reserve team into his football philosophy, allowing them the opportunity to move up into the first team if they can cut it.

Cheers Doug, are they taking you over to the good old U S of A ;-)
