I've been disgusted with Holland - especially against Brazil. You could possibly excuse their roughness (especially with NDJ in there) but not when half the team also dive and cheat. You can't be the tough guy and the pansy. Von Bommell being caught by close up a camera going down like was shot when Alves on the ground near him barely touched him was sickening. I agree in part with that. When it comes off at it's best, as in Barca, it's fantastic & breathtaking but it's not always the kind of higher level, all singing, all dancing, God's gift to football that it's made out to be. It's A style that's working, in this era, against the current opposition. Someone will find a way to beat it & I hope they do, because if everyone works at the same style & learns to play the same way, teams will just cancel each other out & bore the shit out of everyone, with teams concentrating more on keeping the ball rather than going for goal. It's variety that makes football what it is.
