i think it's very funny, irony incarnate. There club havent self destructed? servicing a £700,000,000 debt and having to sell players just to do that. Playing a whole season off rooneys back and expecting it to not only work again next season given the lack of signings but expecting to do better next season. Having to play 4(i think) 30+ year old players that just arent good enough anymore. It wont be long before teams stop fearing them and start playing against them and then they will be truly fucked just like liverpool.

then there's us, literally the ONLY club in the world that can afford to buy top players and maintain growth (even barca and real are borrowing to buy players) and were the ones who are self destructing.

I can't see us finishing any higher than 5th in the league next season with the current squad, and we can forget about the CL. The problems are obvious, and i don't think it ends with the players; if SAF wasn't so unashamedly toeing the Glazer line then we might be in better shape, frankly, the way he's acting is a fucking disgrace. We can only expect to get a handful of games out of players like Giggs, Scholes, VDS and Neville this season, and our midfield is of laughably mid-table quality; any fool can see that we need to buy Ozil, or else there's just no point in us walking out onto the pitch come August. SAF needs to stop treating us like children, lying to us and talking about "value" because we all know the truth - that the Glazers are raping our once glorious club and he's happy to let them do it as long as he's still getting paid. Seriously, if we can't afford Ozil - and no, we can't - why can't SAF just admit that instead of taking the piss and trying to cover it all up with bluff bids on Benzema, Schneider and talk of David Villa? He needs to just be honest with us, tell us that the club is on its knees and then we can enter the season fully prepared for the fight to stay ahead of the relegation battle raging below us. Carrick for example just wouldn't have been good enough for the United of old, but he's exactly the type of player that we're going to have to get used to under the Glazers, and SAF just seems happy to go along with it all and treat us all like children in the process; he should do the decent thing and step down - fat chance of that though, just wishful thinking on my part, he's shown his true colours and they're certainly not green or gold. Ozil is the one player that could save us, but there hasn't even been any rumours in the papers about him, what it SAF playing at making false bids on players he knows we can't get whilst Ozil is having a few good games at the WC?! It's nothing short of a disgrace, United are finished, i've had enough of the Judas attitude seeping down from the top. I'm not just being a disrespectful, spoilt, gullible, stupid brat, this is really happening.
