What should Cook & Mancini say?

What should Cook & Mancini say?

Postby john@staustell » Tue Jul 13, 2010 10:18 am

....when the press ask them if City are still interested in Kaká?

Personally I think a well-chosen and restrained statement about how this player is no longer on City's list of targets would hit home nicely nicely.

Anyone else got any suggestions? Bearing in mind he's been pants for 12 months.

http://www.sport.co.uk/news/Football/40 ... ement.aspx

According to reports in Spain, Real Madrid have told Premier League champions Chelsea, that they would consider offers for Kaka. The 28-year-old cut a frustrated figure in La Liga last season, and although he has been coveted by Manchester City in the past, the player maintains a close bond with Carlo Ancelotti.

Ancelotti yesterday suggested a deal for the mercurial Brazilian playmaker was extremely unlikely despite his close relationship with the former AC Milan star, but Spanish daily Sport indicate Jose Mourinho has informed his new employers that Kaka does not feature prominently in his plans and could be sold at the right price.

Kaka has suffered debilitating groin problems since his big money move from AC Milan to Real Madrid last summer, and in addition to the La Liga club’s valuation, the midfielder’s fitness could put pay to a shock move to the Premier League.

Sport intimate the 28-year-old would dearly love to be reunited with Ancelotti following a nightmare season at the Bernabeu, but Chelsea would not fathom spending over £40 million on the former World Player of the Year.

Sport suggest Real Madrid would take a loss on the player they signed from Milan for €68.5 million, but not a significant one. Ancelotti recently suggested he was in regular contact with the player

A shrug and, "He had his chance!" and ask for the next question.

Have not been impressed with him at all since he went to Madrid...had a poor world cup too...plus he can go fuck himself for that little stunt him and Milan pulled on us

They should just laugh and then state "Kaka bottled it" and walk away from the interviewer.

Manchester City have now refined our list of requirements, Kaka no longer meets the calibre of player we desire. Thanks.

Something like:

To tell you the truth, failing at Madrid doesn't mean a player is crap, just look at Sneijder...
If Mancini thinks Kaka would be an improvement, and is available at a reasonable price, I see no reason not to go for him...

Dont think Sneider got on the field too much for Real, where Kaká has been a first choice. Also unimpresssive with Brazil for me.

Some good answers above, but maybe we can bring Bryan 'ho ho ho' Swanson into the equation after his City-slamming trip to Milan?

or maybe get Twitchy somehow implicated and imprisoned in exchange. I just read about how BP get the Lockerbie bomber released to get a Libyan oil contract for 22B, so maybe somehow Real Madrid could get Twitchy imprisoned on tax charges if we offer them a fair price?

cheers

If the price was right I wouldn't mind him.I dont think he has played as badly as some are saying and RM only finished 3 pts behind Barca so their season dont seem that bad to me.I fancy them to win La liga this year with Jose in charge

I think they should look at each other slightly puzzled.. then Cook should whisper something in Mancini's ear (which the press can't hear) and then both of them just start laughing.
