Robinho - Ibrahimovic

Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

Robinho - Ibrahimovic

Postby Invisible Man Fan » Wed Jul 14, 2010 7:57 pm

Now, I never have and never will pretend to be an ITK, hence the reason I don't post on Bluemong,

But, I have a friend in Barcelona who says that the deal has been set in motion with us pushing 15million Euros their way.

Just wondered what your thoughts were on Ibrahimovic, I don't really follow European football, so don't know a great deal about him, and after the Sepp Bellend Blatter thing, I would never use Wikipedia.
"If we fire our manager after just one bad season - We'll become Chelsea"
"If we think we can fix the problem by buying expensive players - We'll become City"
"If we remember the good times to entertain us during the bad times - We'll become Liverpool"

So, keep calm and do it the United way

"We invest in young players, That is what we are good at — we’re not like other clubs who can spend fortunes on proven goods. We know that Manchester City are going to pay stupid money, pay silly salaries and all that. We can’t do anything about it. We concentrate on what we can do to try to bring players in for the right reasons. We invest in those who will be with the club for a long time, who will create the character of the club, who will create excitement for our fans. We are very proud of that and we are going to continue that way" - Alex Ferguson 14th May 2012

I'd take that as Robinho isn't much use to us.

Well i think it's good business all round as he cost Barca in the region of 50 million and we get to unload a very talented but lazy no team ethic twat.

Well I consider the £32M we spent on robbie as being dead money, we will never get that back from ANY club would be prepared to buy him?

Robbie comes across as the modern day le sulk, he'll carry on being unhappy where ever he goes until grows up.

Like others I don't follow Euro footie, so can't form an opinion on Ibra.

But the sooner Robbie moves on the sooner we forget him and the cash wasted, great player but his heart ain't at CoMs simple as.

Was told the exact same thing last week and posted it in the transfer bollox forum. Makes sense all round with Barca skint and needing dosh, and us needing rid of Robinho pronto I suppose. Zlatan is a head case though.

Good deal...remember Ibras last transfer was something stupid like Eto'o and 40 mil for him!

So Robbie and 15 sounds fine to me

Ibra would do well in the PL..I have a gut feeling about it

Mate, after the few years we had with Kinky, Ali et al, when Robbie came the memories came flooding back. I suppose we can be workman like in all positions, that always works ;-)

Fair play.. so Ibrahimovic is costing us 15 million? Good deal that.. Robinho is dead money.

But seriously.. why do people want not want us to sign him? His goal scoring record is fantastic!

The reason i would say yes to this is because ibra would handle the premiership alot better than robbie would. Robbie is a light touch when we come against dirty teams. And ibra looks massive on tv, ibra and ade look like a massive handful for anyone in the world. Id love to see tevez sat behind them.

Would seem a bargain to me - Robinho is not worth (to us) what we paid for him - it is a very tricky siyuation and everyone knows that

Seems a way out that saves face all round

but robinho didnt do it week in week out so id say it would be worth the risk, but id also be happy if robinho took english football seriously and wanted another crack at it.

If you are waiting for Robinho to man up, drop the selfish "me me me" routine and buy into a team concept you'll be waiting a long time.

Number 1 rule about Robinho is that its all about him, end of.
