Bluemoon post of the day

Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

Bluemoon post of the day

Postby Original Dub » Thu Jul 15, 2010 2:07 pm

The piece of music is taken from Elgars work entitled 'Variations on an original Theme'.. commonly known as the 'Enigma Variations'... all the themes (of which Nimrod is one) were dedicated to individual friends.

Does Tolmie mean there is a variation on an original plan?

Incidentally, the piece 'Nimrod', was dedicated to a friend of Elgar; called Jaeger. His friends name in German means 'Hunter'. Nimrod was a biblical Hunter, referred to as 'A mighty hunter before the Lord'..

Hunter.... Wolf ? It's Dzeko!

Was just gonna say the same thing.

'Enigma Variations' Hmmmmmm. Enigma is a puzzle, and so is a Rubiks Cube. Cube rhymes with tube and there's a tube in London. Hmmmmm. We could be signing someone from London. Hmmmm. London has The London Eye and an eye can be found in ones head. Possibly a header of the ball? Head.....head.....head......rhymes with dead. Someone who's dead good. Good. Good ryhmes with mud. Mud. Muddy? Good and muddy?

We're signing MESSY!!!!!!!!!!
