Ha ha, well I felt you may appreciate the wealth of my knowledge. Despite how uninteresting it may be?

22.30pm Just read that he's flown out to Portland, canceled his leave and wants to get the jump on Shay for the number 1 jersey. This is the first positive thing Joe has done concerning City since leaving Brum and tbh it's what l've been waiting for.
Englands No 1

Apparently he's cut short his holidays in order to go & fuck Shay Given off out of the No1 spot for next season. I admire that quite a lot if true.

Good to see Hart being proactive. He has seen and heard what is happening and wants to be a key part.
We need to keep both Hart & Given ideally, is this possible? If not IMO Hart is no.1 - now and future.

I'd give both of them plenty of games during the season myself but no doubt there'll be a load of football cliches that say it wont work & you need to stick to mainly one keeper.

There could potentially be in the region of 60 games this coming season. Plenty of chance for both keepers to get plenty of games.
I always thought that Joe would be our long term future...I think that time has come.
Frank Swift, Bert Trautmann, Joe Corrigan...Now is the time for Joe to start his journey to becoming a City icon.

I totally agree, if we used one for premiership games and one for all othe rcompetitions then they are potentially going to get the same gametime, plus then people could stop bullshitting about Harts lack of experience (meaning that he has loads more than people seem to realise)

Very disappointed with the interview on the OS today.
Doesn't seem like he has the appetite or willingness to actually fight for the No 1 jersey with Shay.
Very non-committal about fighting for the starting spot "I just want to play" he says....ie. doesn't matter if it's here or somewhere else, I just want to be the starting keeper.
I'd sell him now, I think re-signing Taylor for two years shows that the club is ready to do just that if he is not willing to accept what every other first team squad member will have to.
Not impressed

I got the same impression ant but when you see the other posts in this thread about how many games given and hart could get you cant really get his way of thinking.

Nope, I think it says pretty poor things about his intelligence and his mentality if I'm honest.
That he would prefer to go to the likes of Birmingham instead of biding his time and playing some games for a year or two in a top top team I find quite hard to comprehend. Sure everyone would like to be playing every week but he should take a look around him at some of the exceptional professionals in the squad (Vincent Kompany, Pablo Zabaleta, Nigel de Jong....Javi Garrido) who ALL want to play every week but still manage to contribute positively to the club and the squad when they are not.

Maybe he feels that Shay is years away from retirement and he could be well on with his career elsewhere, lets face it he could be in the Chelsea squad now Cech isnt the player he was...

that's right, the words you are putting in his mouth are a disgrace. If only he said them we could hang him high.
