Fridays Rag Post Of The Day

On the Kolarov signing...

RAG1: They don't half buy some mediocre dross for their petro-dollars though, they've certainly shown the world how to blow billions on average joes and overstock your squad with players of the same ilk ie. Toure, De Jong, Vieira, Barry in CM, Bellamy, Tevez, Robinho, Silva in attack etc.

RAG2: I agree. You look at that list and whilst it might look OK when compared to Spurs or even an Arsenal team without Fabregas, its no way in the same class as what we or the Chavs have or indeed what Liverpool had.

Not qualifying for the CL in world cup year was a huge opportunity missed for them. Imagine if they could offer CL football now, lots of players who had made a name for themselves would jump at the chance to join them ... whereas they are still signing the Barry/Adebayor type player who just isn't good enough.

You can tell with that comment that they are still fuming about Tevez! Even when I bring him up with rag mates they usually just keep quiet while I'm spouting off how brilliant he is. They won't even look me in the eye when I mention his name.

To be fair though he/she has got a point about Kolo Toure though.

I got that one as well. I just usually say "maybe we could swap him for that boy Ronaldo?" usually shuts them up.

I still think we got kolo to bag yaya.

also doesn't hurt kolo's a pretty good center half imo, damn shame he can't head though.

Love the comments about Bellamy & Tevez not being good enough for them or Chelsea. Think rags & Chelsea's defenders might disagree.

Oh yeh just re-read. You see if he'd actually mentioned Kolo being shit then I'd think "Hey, this guy has half a brain" but because he's talking about a player who helped Barca twat them in the final I've got to say he's a thick rag bastard.

The rags in work make me laugh...

They kept on banging on about City needing to bring in defenders...and now that we have suddenly it's...

'Well where the fuck are they all going to fit in?'

There's just no pleasing some people ;-)

Even if City signed woooney tomorrow the riposte would be "....we've seen the best of him, you can have him, we've got hernandez"
Then, the day after, having signed Hernandez it would be "...unproven, we got a good deal"
They WILL NOT accept the facts as they are right now. City are buying players that they would be going for, and all this no value in the market stuff is bullshit. I despise the scum, but as a City fan there are times over the years when some humility has been required. Don't hold your breath waiting for any from that lot. In fact, you'll be amazed at the amount of "fans" that will, in 2 years time, say "...I don't really follow the football anymore....City win did they?"

I think that you will be surprised at the amount of so called rag fans from forums like red cafe that switch allegiances when City start to win things

We're going to get young rags sneaking over & lots of rags from other countries becoming City followers. It's the downside of our increasingly high profile.

This one has just made me laugh! On talk of Balotelli..

It's going to be a recipe for disaster if he ends up at City. Can't see him sticking around for more than a season or two.

He could be the next WPOTY if he came to us.

that's hardly an unreasonable post. we have way overpaid for kolarov and clearly the fact we didn't make it to the champion's league means that our players aren't yet good enough.
