Lower Shoreditch area
Old Street area down to Liverpool Street.

If you like stuff like Mr Scruff. and Ninja Tunes, head over to 93 Feet East on Brick Lane and chat with people there
and you are sure to get pointers on whats on round and about.

funny....this was what i sent him

OK....well on the assumption that you want to be north of the river and not a massive schlep to anywhere I would recommend that you go to Shoreditch/Hoxton. It is where I lived in London and is the closest thing you'll get to the NQ...in fact it is pretty similar.

Easiest way to get there post match is to take the mainline from White Hart Lane station to Liverpool St.

Come out of the station onto Bishopsgate and turn left (ie NOT the direction of the Tesco Metro you'll be able to see kind of opposite you (but to your right)) and walk up that road (or just jump in a cab which is a 5 minute ride but it's walkable)

You will come to a set of lights where you will find this place

http://www.thedrunkenmonkey.co.uk/index ... &Itemid=28

now from here you can either turn left (up Great Eastern St) or carry on straight up Shoreditch High St.

Up Shoreditch High St there's a few bars (Cafe Kick is cool but just laid back) but not a huge amount til you get up to Old St

Up Great Eastern St you can then turn right up Curtain Road where there is an Elbow Room (cool pool hall & bar) on your left, a nice little burger place on the right and then a big place called Bar Music Hall at the top of the street on the right

http://www.barmusichall.com/

At the top of this road is a club called the 333

http://www.333mother.com/

If you cut right of that road there's another club&bar that I like called Cargo

http://www.cargo-london.com/

If you cut left before you get to Bar Music Hall down Rivington St there's a pub on the corner but if you turn left and head down there there is another place called Canteloupe (you can also get there by going up Great Eastern St and turning right) which is not bad http://www.cantaloupe.co.uk/ it's owned by the people who own Cargo. Also on the corner near there is a place called the Great Eastern Dining Rooms

On the ground floor it is a restaurant and bar and is very civilised. However, 10ish til late downstairs is a cool little club....which has long been a fave

http://www.rickerrestaurants.com/greate ... /index.php

OK...Hoxton Square itself (reached by going up to Old St (at the top of Charlotte Road where Canteloupe is) crossing over and up the side st (just ask anyone if it's not obvious)

[/img]
this is where the original Bluu (as in the one in the northern quarter, and previously Liverpool) is....

there is a big place called Zigfrid which is pretty good, has a club called Underbelly underneath

http://www.zigfrid.com/

there's a couple of lovely restaurants on there

http://www.yelothai.com/
http://www.hoxtonapprentice.com/

there are a couple of other places just off the square such as

http://www.electricityshowrooms.com/

and another club called Herbal

http://www.herbaluk.com/

there are also a few lapdancing bars locally.....(Browns, Rainbow Bar and a few others...) but I think the above is more what you are after?

All in all though....there should be more than enough to keep you amused.
