No Silva, Boateng, Yaya, De Jong or Tevez (what's happened to him?) and no new signings - even if we make them - until 3 days before our first game!

Mancini is right - that's a serious problem

That is awful, surely Tevez should be there!?
It was hard enough for us to gel as a team by the END of last season, how we will fair with new signings against Spuds and Dippers in the first 2 weeks is beyond me!? When are we going to take this shit seriously............................

it is a problem in terms of them missing all the preparation and getting up to full fitness. Which means we will be lucky if any of them can just slot straight in, apart form DeJong and Tevez. But Manicini knew this was going to be the case and the worse case scenario is that we play the opening games with pretty much last seasons players out there, then feed in the newcomers as they get up to speed. Last seasons team were not bad and they should be able to be more in tune with what Bobby wants after the pre-season work, so they should be capable of holding their own even if it means we dont have our best 11 players out there.

Does seem a bit of a problem.Hopefully it will have a bit of a positive effect. To me it would seem that our new signings will be new to the side and if it takes a few games for them to be gradually introduced into the team it might be better.Hopefully it will give our established players a chance to compete at a slightly higher level than they did last year and pull of the results against spuds and dippers we think they are capable of.

I'd be very surprised if most of them aren't here a few days before the Valencia game. Mancini seems to go senile in front of tv cameras.

We need to do everything we can to win those first two games, if we lose them we will be a laughing stock, especially after the Spuds game at the close of last season.

How dare you bring sanity to a hysterical thread?

Apologies, but Im unable to view the video in work.
its all a bit of nothing tbh. Bobby is just pointing out that the only problem he has is that some of the WC players will be arriving back late due to extended hols or whatever, so obviuosly they will miss the bulk of the pre-season tactical training and hard work to get up to speed and fitness. They are available to play, but i guess he thinks they might not be ready. He's just pointing out it is not the perfect situation as far as he is concerned. Thats about it really.

Blatantly obvious that you were a Hughes Worshipper and not a Mancio Manogamist?
I know your sort!

hahaha what a joke reaction. I said it sounded like getting in excuses early because........ it sounds like getting in excuses early. Are you telling me it doesnt?
Do I want what to be correct? Strangely worded question and what the hell has Hughes got to do with anything? I hope his comments are reverse phsycology to lessen expectations but it's a little weird to be saying such things as we get nearer to the start.Won't most teams be in similar positions? ( and without the depth and quality of squad we have?)
And what does Managomist mean? Is it a real word?
