Im just watching spurs now against lisbon and they are playing near enough their first team. Surely if we are trying to bond a team together we need to play as many first team players as possible so they can gel with each other..
I just have a feeling players like yaya, silva and boateng and anymore that come in may disrupt our start in the season. We have 2 massive games against 2 rivals for that 4th spot they are very important games.. We dont want to get off to a slow start.

It's a bit hard tp play the first team when most of them are not there!

I know but being the richest club in the world you would think getting off to a good start would be a priority, there is all the talk about winning the title but this year we have to "have to" get into the champions league.

ha ha, no i know what your saying we should have most of are starting 11 out so they can gel, but you have to remember mate it's only gonna be are second pre-season game tonight. The player's that played in the world cup are gonna need time to rest, I think once we get to the Inter game and the Valencia game we will have a full squad together that will be playing in these games.

Also take into consideration that spuds havent got new players to the same extent that we have. Their whole team probably went on tour.

I just saw a few minutes and there is no Defoe,Lennon,King,Crouch,Pavulychenko,Dawson,Gomes,Krancjaer,Modric on the pitch in the first half so it's hardly their strongest team is it:)

No doug your right but they have kept the ball and created lots more oportunities than we did 90 mins. Have they got a better squad than us? i know its friendlies and im clever enough to know they dont mean much, but you can tell how a team plays whether they are any good.

Well, I'm watching live a terrible performance of my AC Milan against Varese. Never seen anything worse from rossoneri defense, but Pato looks absolutely brilliant!

All bar the last one or two friendlies are pretty meaningless. At this stage the main thing is to improve fitness and not pick up any bad injuries.
