Robinho , called back and called up

Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

Robinho , called back and called up

Haven't seen it mentioned anywhere, except in the NZZ, a Swiss newspaper, ( imo,one of the best actually), tucked away on the sports results page.

However, Robinho is only one of four players from the World Cup squad called up by the new manager for Brazil and their friendly game on the 11th August.
It should be interesting because he's expected back in Manchester on 5th August, which basically means it should really be a flying visit ! I guess he'll fly out a day later ( Friday evening ) like all usual commuters.

Amazing what people might do for 150,000 per week eh ? fly in , fly out . Have to stay in a first class hotel etc.

I'd defo fly from Brazil to Manc and back again within a few days for even a tenth of that. Caipirinhas on the beach, some record hunting in NQ and a few pints of bitter, caipirinhas on the beach... I like the variation.

Just took these quotes from an article, but not sure how old they are?
Mancini said: 'For me, Robinho is a good player. I spoke with him in January and I asked him if he wanted to stay. He said no.

'He wanted to go back to Brazil because of the World Cup. That was it, as far as I was concerned. He didn't want to be part of it so there was no point in me having him at the club.

'I told him, if he wanted to stay, it was not a problem - though it would be important that he worked and played for the team but it was his decision. He decided to go.'

Mancini added: 'I don't know about Robinho's situation because he doesn't want to come back. But Craig, at the moment, is working very well.'

I miss Robinho!
