Dortmund Squad

Does anybody know if we will have a full squad in Germany, ie,, Tevez, Silva, Boetang, NDJ, Kolarov??
"If we fire our manager after just one bad season - We'll become Chelsea"
"If we think we can fix the problem by buying expensive players - We'll become City"
"If we remember the good times to entertain us during the bad times - We'll become Liverpool"

So, keep calm and do it the United way

"We invest in young players, That is what we are good at — we’re not like other clubs who can spend fortunes on proven goods. We know that Manchester City are going to pay stupid money, pay silly salaries and all that. We can’t do anything about it. We concentrate on what we can do to try to bring players in for the right reasons. We invest in those who will be with the club for a long time, who will create the character of the club, who will create excitement for our fans. We are very proud of that and we are going to continue that way" - Alex Ferguson 14th May 2012

All the players back now. Os reporting that the US tour squad are resting today, WC returnees training. Tomorrow they fly to Germany, but maybe Doug will tell us they will train before going there.. and i suppose they will train in Dortmund at least once.

Havent heard anything about Mancini returning from being with his father, so he could be missing. All of which means that the squad as a whole will have two training sessions maximum before the game, and those possibly without Mancini running things.

So if we go for a full strength team including some of the signings they are really just going to be thrown together and see what happens. i quite like that in a way as it puts more emphasis on the players.. less detailed instructions = more wing it and do what you are good at.

Personally would love to see Yaya, Silva and Ireland given starts together for the 1st half... something like

------------- Toure - Kompany----------------

Richards --------------------------- Kolarov
--------------- Toure Y.-------------------

------- Silva --------- Ireland -------

------ Tevez --------- Bellemy ----
---------------- Ade -------------------

then swap it for the 2nd something like...

------------- Toure - Kompany----------------
Boateng ----------------------------- Bridge
------------ DeJong.-------Barry------------

------------------ Yaya ---------------
----SWP ------------------------- AJ ----
------------------ Ade -------------------

Not bothering with a keeper?

Hmmm, avant garde but I must admit I rather like it

Let's start off with 10 men, no goalie and just a swagger to see us through

We shall verily terrify those europeans

Those are the kind of formations I'd like to see but rumour has it we may go for a diamond. I'd like to see Silva & Ireland play together to see if they hit it off. If Ireland would get stuck in like he used to we may get away with one less defense minded player. I could still see him being a top player for us if he was willing to cover more rather than letting 90 yr old rags run away from him to score last min winners.

I'd be watching Ade carefully to see if he performs better with more support. If he doesn't I'd drop him & play Tevez there v Spurs.

Well I heard that the Sheikh... bought Carlos Tevez this week...& you fuckers aint gettin' nothin..

what rumours? you been talking to DH?
a lot would criticise the first selection for too attacking, but as it is a friendly.. and would give some clues as to the Silva-Ireland-Yaya potential.

Ade dropped for spurs.. cant see that. i mean it is difficult to judge Adebayor in terms of when he sparks into action..
but im thinking he will just sort of take it easy till the real games.. when he will really crank it up. Could be wishful thinking but like others i have the feeling Ade is going to do his utmost to barnstorm this season.

OS reporting that Tevez, Silva, DeJong and Boateng have not flown out to Germany and are staying at Carrington to train.

So that means pretty much the same bunch as Milan. no comment on that. but i hope to F that PV doesn't play, or at the very least not start.

- sorry to keep harping on about Vieira but we really need to try something else, as in another player.

anyone know if Bobby is back at the helm ?
