Yep. I think Lescott will be, or will become, our "first name on the sheet" centre-half too.

I think Jovanovic will turn out to be a good player for pool ... I dont know about "star", but we'll see. I also think Torres will have a great season playing with a partner upfront. Cole will play well too.
I think Santa Cruz will go on loan to fulham, and will do very well for himself. Dempsey will play well too.
I think Hart will go on loan again and be a star
I think Toure (Kolo) will have a great season for us.
I think smalling will look horrible this season, but the mexican will have soem good cameos for the scum.
I think Adebayor will have a cracking season for us (surprise? I dunno) and Barry. Ireland will become a stable player again (not a star season though)
I think Barton will play well.
I think Milner will stay at villa and have a great season, agbonlahor will have a standout year.
Defoe will have a star season.
Nasri will stand-out in the arsenal team.
I think malouda will stand out for chelsea.
I think charlie adam will play well in a poor blackpool side
I think Rodwell will have a breakout season (think milner last year and ireland the year before) at everton.
That's all I care to do.
Also I don't know why I feel like I have to add this here ...
I think we will line up 4 across the back (boateng toure lescott kolarov)
3 in mid field (Barry Yaya Kompany/Vieira)
3 attack, most likely drifting around (Tevez Adebayor Silva)
I guess I had to explain that to explain why I think barry will have a standout year for us.

That's a good shout too. Only saw his WC cameos, but that goal against Argentina was masterfully taken. Shades of a young Owen or even fat Ronaldo about it.

I also have a feeling Andy Carrol will do ok (& possibly Joey to some extent).
Barrera West Ham. Zigic Birmingham. Milner City.
Hope you're all right about Lescott. Moving like the Titanic at the moment.

I'm hoping Vieira will have a Hamann-style regaining of form and become our lynchpin in the centre.

I bigged this lad up a few months back on the thread about emerging talent and said that we should be after him. Danny Wilson, centre half, Liverpool. If he gets a chance he'll put the rest of their CB's to shame. What a player this lad will be.
For us, I think Boateng will prove that his world cup performances were a sign of great things to come. I think Kolarov will also prove to me a great bit of business. Above all, I think Yaya will prove to be more than just a defensive midfielder and be an outstanding signing.

Would any of those really be a surprise? Fair do's with the lad at Liverpool though.

stand out season- Rodwell for everton, wiltshire for the arse, A. Johnson for us
The usual suspects will perform like Lampard and Shrek
As for some saying Hernandez, why? He was behind Vela and Dos santos for Mexico who are both younger than him and name one mexican that has made it in the prem? remember Nery Castillo!!
Only my opinion of course

He's slipped of the hype map. People are talking about him as good/decent and wondering when we're going to buy Torres or make a big signing. He hasn't shown up for friendlies yet. Where's the excitement. I'm waiting for a few people here to make team predictions for the season/early matches and actually omit him (purely by mistake).
I don't think it's sunk in yet. Robinho set the world alight, Tevez was welcomed to the city, Adebayor was hugely exciting. We sign Silva - most people have been talking about whether we'll sign Milner (for the same money).
