City arrive in Germany

Postby Mark (Blue Army) » Tue Aug 03, 2010 4:18 pm

City touched down in Dortmund this afternoon minus the four players who returned from World Cup duty yesterday.

The team flew from Manchester earlier today without Carlos Tevez, David Silva, Jerome Boateng and Nigel de Jong who have remained behind to build their fitness up, though all four could feature against Valencia this Saturday.

The Blues have no injury concerns ahead of their clash with Borussia Dortmund in the Ferrostaal Cup tomorrow evening and Aleksandar Kolarov could make his City debut. Vincent Kompany has shaken off a knock he picked up against Inter Milan.

Roque Santa Cruz has also travelled with the team after returning from World Cup duty midway through the club’s US tour.

The team will take a light training session at the 81,000-capactity Westfalenstadion this evening before attending a dinner as the guests of club partners Ferrostaal in Dortmund.
