The only good thing is that both Spurs and Liverpool are in the same boat.

Spurs looked twice as good as us last night. They looked like a good side warming up during pre season as did Benfica & most teams I've seen other than us. That's how we need to start looking so I agree with the OP, put a nice solid balanced team out preferably with Bellamy in it. Don't give a toss about the score so long as we look like we have at least a clue what we're doing.
I'd be tempted to play Vinny rather than Lescott but otherewise same team.

Lescott is quality but he's obviously a player who takes a while to get up to match sharpness

I am getting worried I agree with you totally again Ted.We need to show signs that "IT" is coming together, win, lose or draw.

We could pick up our 3rd trophy of the season tonight (along with the North-West Masters and that thing we won againt Club America).
This could turn out being our most successful season ever!

Twitchy actually knows what hes doing...........i cant say the same for mancini.!!! no Tevez,Silva or boateng?????????????????/is he for fucking real or what!!!!
This is the kind of post match comments that I want read about given we are 2 fucking weeks away from the start of the prem.
Harry Redknapp's side controlled this competitive friendly against class opposition at the Stadium of Light with precise passing and patience in the key midfield area where games are won and lost in Europe.
Redknapp said: "It was a good performance, Bale and Luka Modric were ex- cellent down the left in the first half and Jermaine Jenas passed the ball well.
"It's now a case of trying to get everyone fit and strengthen the squad if I can."

Is this match being shown on the telly box tonight? Otherwise, can anyone reccommend any nice sounding and clear rivers I can go and investigate instead?

It's a shame there isn't a fixtures link that shows all the games and broadcaster information all in one place. The site could do with one of those.
I heard somewhere that ESPN are showing it.
