On David Silva...before he signed for us...
RAG1: For months I have that he would be interested in a move to us which has now been proved to be the case. People said that their is no way he would move from Spain but that has now been dismissed.

Obviously since then Liverpool have hit a financial crisis it seems and will not be playing CL football - something which Silva wants.
Sir Alex has been interested in signing him for the past two summes and I think this is the year Silva will move on. Our Chief Scout Martin Ferguson has been at a number of Valencia's matches too.
Valencia want no more than 30 million Euros for him so we could get him for £22-26m quite comfortably imo.
Our midfield would look so much better with him and a fit-again Hargreaves in it. We would have Havrgreaves, Silva, Anderson, Gibson, Giggs, Scholes, Fletcher, and for the wings Valencia, Nani, Park, Obertan and Silva could play their aswell. Notice that I would sell Carrick who has had a woeful season!
What do you think?
RAG2: He would be a great signing but people are blowing this interview out of proportion. If Real Madrid or Barcelona or Chelsea or Cit... no scratch that last one... Anyway if any of those other top level teams was the one being constantly rumored to be after him, he would have been asked what he thought of them and said the exact same thing.
What I'm trying to say is let's try not to go beyond cautious optimism.
