I'd have thought Jo would have been in with a shout for the Europa League.

List A has to be submitted by the following fixed deadlines:
a) 21 June 2010 (24.00 CET) for all matches in the first qualifying round;
b) 9 July 2010(24.00 CET) for all matches in the second qualifying round;
c) 23 July 2010 (24.00 CET) for all matches in the third qualifying round;
d) 9 August 2010 (24.00 CET) for all matches in the play-off round;
e) 1st September 2010 (24.00 CET) for all further matches from the first
match in the group stage up to and including the final.

Silva will probably be added on the 01 September deadline when he is fitter?
Bellamy and Ireland are as good as gone by the look of that squad list.

It's strange robinho is in the squad ( I hope he stays and plays) Jo not being included isn't that strange didn't the list have to be submitted in June? Did Mancini know he played for us then?

What's the number of players you can have when it starts properly? Still 23?

That's to make up our 'homegrown' contingent, which for UEFA competitions has to be club developed.

Have we just submitted 23 names, when it could have been a maximum 25, or is 23 the limit for this stage?

So why would you pick a player that is four months from fitness rather than one of the kids? Not buying that at all

i have to assume that logan will be loaned out before the end of august - he's 22 now, so i don't think anyone is under the impression he'll be in the 25 for the PL.

SSN says we can add two more players, places being held for new signings.

I'd guess it's because they're under 21, and therefore possibly don't count as squad members for UEFA rules, as UEFA haven't thought things through properly.

Milner is in the Villa squad. Is this a problem?

it's a load of cobblers. I suggest everyone just ignores it until the final version is released rather than having pointless discussions. Balotelli is in Inter's squad. Silva/Milner etc aren't in ours but Logan is. Just wait until the real one comes out.

that list is only for the this playoff game coming up, the squad named sept first will be our top team in mancio's eyes.

Only if he plays for them, which would make him inelligible for the Europa for any other team this season. If he doesn't play for them, then I think we'll be ok.

Good to see we include a player (MJ) in the squad for a game even though he will officially not be fit for it.
