Hart for me aswell. Given is a great goalie tho, but I think Hart is on par with him, so why not go for the younger guy??

I voted for Shay in the poll a few weeks back but Hart has looked a lot more solid since then & I want him to start. He has more presence.

Look at it this way.. if we were to buy last seasons best premier league keeper we'd be looking to play him.

THIS...

Hart is the future, even if they are on par, looking at the long term, this is the first year of greatness, get him the experience when we are trying to gel as a team. He will be ready to lead us to greatness!

after seeing that pic, I realised I dreamed about city scarves last night. They all had slightly different shades of light blue and I had to pick one. Weird.

Anyway, if the story is true then that's a big gamble. Given would've been much more solid option. I'm not sure whether Hart is quite ready for top four yet. I certainly hope he proves me wrong.
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

At this point I'd be happy with either of them in goal, I'd play Hart today and Given in the Europa for the time being and see how they perform

I can't believe the consensus that's emerging in this thread. Good though Joe is, Given is twice the keeper and the best we've had in years. It doesn't worry me that JH will walk if not first choice. We owe him nothing and we could replace him at the drop of a hat. Given No.1 until he appears incompetent or past it. Joe will have to wait or leave.

If true, horrific decision. Two most important games possibly of the season are the first two for city and starting the clearly weaker keeper is a ridiculous idea. Hart was muck in pre-season and could feasibly cost City a top 4 spot in two 6 pointer game.

mongs saying hart is on par with Given, he's done nothing but be above mediocre for a shite team last season. Given was brilliant last season and in pre-season and now he's probably going to strengthen an immediate rival Arsenal. For fuck sake.

We'll find out soon enough. The good thing is that we're good with either of them between the sticks.
