PMSL.

fuck it though, why not? germany have been using naturalised foreign nationals (khedira, cacau, podolski, klose etc) for ages and not much needs to be said about the current state of their national side.

Indeed, I'd have him in a heartbeat.

Noticed that the FA have said that the next manager will be English - it just goes round in circles. Remember them saying this post-Sven and we ended up with Schteve.

Think you'll get very short odds on that.

portugal had deco who is brazilian

Spain won the Euros with Senna in midfield and he is brazilian

We dont need Arteta, just a manager with some nouse that doesnt play lampard and gerrard in the same team and drops rooney when his form is shite

how long can we carry on blaming the manager though? we have been rubbish on the whole for about a decade now. can't we just admit lampard is never going to give england the kind of return he gives chelski and fuck him and some others off? arteta would be a great player to have available imo.

the manager picks the team, formation and tactics! The players have the ability, the manager needs to set them up right

whoa i'm not saying old fabio is blameless mate, but seriously some of these players have been fantastically mediocre for years now. we need to revamp the squad bigtime imo, and if arteta was interested he would be an excellent option to be able to call on.

Everton are just Ruining football!!!

Cant be such a bad thing really, would plug a hole as there isnt really anyone with his creativity coming through for England (Cole etc may be creative but No consitancy).

If this happens though then surely the 25 player squad rule bollox crappy thing should be canned right away!

If he does we should pick him. I'd rather have him than Lampard. Nows not the time to be proud, if they qualify, get them in the team.

Nah, I'm not a big patriot or anything but I'd rather them be born an bred in England an have English as a first language.

Rather have an English manager too. Says how shit we are that we have to rely on people who aren't English to make our England team worth shouting about.

If that ever happend then i am done with international football.

He was born in Spain.
He was brought up in Spain.
He speaks Spanish.
He is Spanish.

The only thing in common he has with England is that he has lived here for a measley 5 years.

At least the likes of Hargreaves, Ozil ect have links to the country they play for.
