When saying thanks for the captain..
he says..
"thankyou to the fan"

"the player"

"thankyou to the people in the shop"

Who are the people in the shop? lol

Napoleon mate - said England is a nation of shopkeepers.

Obviously Tevez is an avid student of history.

Or maybe not :-)

I had a little laugh about that myself tbh, doesn't look or sound like a man who's desperate to go home and stop playing football does he? If he can try and instill his work ethic into the rest of the team I think he will be a great captain tbh, and he atleast appears to be motivated to finally start learning abit more of the language as well which must be a good sign

I think not understanding the referee's lectures whilst nodding politely is quite an advantageous situation!

I think he was being sarcastic, cause they gave him that kids hat that he had to wear without a "turn up" in order to be able to keep his ears warm.
Or was the upside down City badge, a union flag type cry for someone to come and help him.
I wonder :)

And surprise surprise, as I said in the captaincy thread, his English is more than adequate. The press really are a bunch of numb nutted fuckers, you can guarantee that none of the clowns in the media that were slagging us for having a none English speaking captain last week will have the common decency to at least admit they were wrong on that

Just need to ask the feckers how good their Spanish is , and suggest they use it at a press conference when England next play Argentina. Regardless of his language skills being rudimentary, as least he's making the effort

That last bit isnt aimed at you IRBLINX

As I said in the other thread, you've been able to hear him in the background of various vids talking English and it is obvious when you see him interviewed that he understands most of what is asked in English before the translation. He isn't confident talking to the press in English, so what, he understands his team-mates and the ref and they understand him (with the obvious advantage of being able to slip back into the native tongue when questioning the ref's parentage).

It has to be said that making him captain is starting to look like a masterstroke from Mancini, in both the interview and the press conference you can clearly see that he is over the moon to be captain.

Eventhough my spanish is a bit rusty I sometimes when listening to Carlito wonder if he is that well spoken in spanish. I think he make his talk on the pitch.
