Dirk Kuyt

Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

Dirk Kuyt

Postby dazby » Tue Aug 24, 2010 1:59 pm

I've said it before and I'll say it again. I can't believe they let that guy hang around with footballers. And pay him to do it.

What a passenger. Hope he stays there for life.

Had off night but quality hardworking player.
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

someone who takes a thimbul full of talent combines it with hard work, turns him into a premier league footballer, fair play to him.

we're in violent agreement here. i've got my orange-flavoured glasses on, but i like him. Their Bellamy. Without the goals. Cough. Cough. Cough. or the petulant fits and golf club drama.

cheers

I'm with the Finno-American fraction on this one.

Very valuable for Liverpool, but can't carry the team when Gerrard/Torres are absent or out of form. But that's not his role either.

Only signed for Utrecht from some non-league side at a relatively late age (20 I think?) and was just a workhorse to start off with. Then he suddenly started looking really skilfull and scoring wondergoals, Feyenoord signed him and he was topscorer 2 seasons running I think. Then Rafa signed him and turned him into a right-winger. Not technically good enough for that role but can be deadly playing as one of the strikers in a 4-4-2.

Used to like him, when he left Utrecht he was crying and going on about 'this is my club, you gave me my big chance when nobody believed bla bla bla...I'l be back' then after leaving Feyenoord after 2 seasons he said exactly the same thing to their fans. Twat. At least Sneijder has come out and said he wants to finish his career off at Utrecht, despite his ajax past. Feyenoord are welcome to Kuyt, if they're not bankrupt by then

Or the pace. Or the versatility. Unless you count being equally inept at both RM and CF as versatility. Typical sort of garbage filling their squad at present.
