Minutes away from exiting the CL. Obviously Mancinis former club, they drop into the Europa don't they? If so... You just know they'll meet us somewhere along the line

Thought it was only teams that finish 3rd in group stage that go to Europa league, or somethin like that

This result is especially interesting re the current UEFA coefficients standings.

We'll have to see what goes on this campaign, but you have to assume that next season we'll see four German sides in the CL and just three Italian.

No... Atletico Madrid as holders, 37 winners from Europa qualifying, plus the 10 CL qualifying losers.

Andelect are in.... Their pen spot crumbled for 3 of their pens all ballooned over the bar

Wiki isn´t right....
A big comeback of Werder in the 92 min. ( 5 Min extratime after "great hollywoodeske Plays of injurys" of italian player when touched) and a great played extratime saved Werder the CL spot.

Some nails in my coffin this game was......

Edit, Hups, you wrote EL not CL..... sorry for that.

I bet the Sampdoria fans are feeling frustrated today. They had almost made a miracle turning a 3-1 defeat around in the second leg, they were 3-0 up with few minutes to go, and they let two goals in ruining everything they had worked for...

I have to admit I'm a bit satisfied that they are out of the CL though, at the end of last season they were (rightly, of course) playing like their life depended on it so that they could get fourth spot and enter the CL, they came to the Olimpico and beat Roma 2-1, that defeat cost Roma the title against Inter, and now Sampdoria have lost what they had worked so hard for too. I know it's wrong but I can't help feeling smug for that, suits them well.

That's a point, with the Euro Leagues they are not allowed to serve beer inside the stadium, what about outside?

As said last year in spring when there was the possibilty of a werder-City match in seminfinals.....

I´m on a 50/50 then, can´t loose. I´ll walk around the ground and will buy all the "Friendship" scarfes with both teams on each end......

No beer/alcohol within a banmile around the ground is allowed. Fifa has a catalogue of silly laws for such a game.....
But believe me, with 5-10 years CL/european football you learn how to get "something" into the ground.....

I'm all over that one mate, the hip-flask has been around since alcohol was first created. I was just wondering if the new City Square would be serving the adults, but I guess not :(

In Bremen the banmile is about 100-200m around the ground so if you put the taps a bit away from the ground......

Of course every Italian who loves City is hardly waiting for this event at the wonderful Luigi Ferraris ground in Genoa!
From Torino, Italia to Manchester, Lancashire this City is always our City!

Slightly off topic but I'm so glad Bremen got through instead of Italian team.
