Why are the Rags 3rd ?

Postby Gloryhunter123 » Tue Aug 24, 2010 9:30 pm

When we both have the same goal difference , and the rest.
Shouldnt we be above them or joint 3rd ?

Thank you x

I much preferred it in the past when nobody bothered compiling a league table till after 10 games into the season. The pressure was off fans, players and managers alike. Nowadays you lose your first two games and the odds on the manager getting sacked tumble.

Yeah, but it should be on goal difference followed by a real head-to-head, ie. Fight Night in positions. Joe Hart v Van der Sar, Nige against Carrick, Micah mugging Rafael or Carlos crippling Rooney. One point per head (literally) followed by the 2 managers going at it for a winner takes all 10 points.

Turn CoMS into a Gladiator type arena, throw a few lions in and bobs your uncle. I'd pay damned good money to see that!

Actually, I was thinking, after yesterdays game, how we've gradually evolved over the last few seasons, not only in a football talent sense but also from Sven's team; a bunch of mostly absolute fucking pansies & the odd gentle giant, to a squad who'd probably kick the shit out of most others in the PL in a fight.
