Kompany refusing to be carried off

Have to agree with Vinnie here, he makes a couple of good points on reflection of the Pool game.
The team that outplayed the scouce only had two of our new signings in it.. good ones mind, but when you think that we are going to be able to call upon and feed into the team the likes of Silva, Mario, Kolarov and Mr Boateng, then the idea that we can continue to improve has to be taken seriously.
The other point is related to that.. knocking the scouce around was one thing, but they were out of sorts and not set up well so in terms of a test it was good but not what we will have to expect from others. Both Arsenal and Chelsea will have a serious bee in their bonnet with City after last season.
i like the idea though that we are looking ok so far but that there is a lot more to come.

I thought this was a story about him being injured but refusing to be subbed or something

It's not the cough that carries you off...it's the coffin they carry you off in
