Because he's been playing well.

I can smugly say I called this as a possibility before anyone knew he was coming back for pre season & the reason why has now been confirmed by Mancini; Jo was great for CSKA & Mancini's Inter side had a lot of problems with him, hence he knows there's some ability there.

Against who exactly? A bunch of pre season yanks and suddenly he's in contention?

I could have rocked up and looked good

Cause he's a class player, next year he'll be prem champion, defending golden boot winner, european player of the year and we'll turn down Torres cause we have him. Than poor old Jo will wake up on the bus from Torquay to their latest away game.

Mancini things he is a very good striker, and with the good players we have i can see him getting more chances than he ever did before so we will see just how good a finisher he is.

True, he was absolutely, comically fucking shite but a lot of that was down to him being another half hearted wanker like Robinho rather than having no talent. If his idols are bone idle ( lazy arsed talent wasting tossers like Ronaldinho, Adriano, Elano & Robinho), it's hardly surprising either.

He gives the impression that he's at least trying to turn his life around & be a footballer now rather than a playboy & as we'll have spaces in the squad, it does no harm to have a look at him imo. I hope he makes it, I admire someone who tries to change his life.

Perhaps, as other posters have said above, he is trying to turn his life around, and Mancini recognises this and is giving him another chance?

I dare say that Mancini is a better judge of a player than the majority of us.

I think we all remember how bad he was, its more a case of deep down we hope he can pull a Dunne (remember how shite he was, before he turned around developed into a good player and than turned shite again.) I'd like to see that from Jo for no other reason than we paid £18m for him and I was all exicted at the time that we signed a brazilian wonderkid for said price. Little did we know Brazilian football is very close to being as weak and overrated as English

Fail. Everton extended the initial loan deal, adding on a full season. They wanted him but couldn't afford the fee. He then fell out with Moyes in his 2nd season.

We let Bellamy go on loan to Cardiff, RSC is being shipped out, Jo is getting another chance. There's a reason for that.

The reason for Bellamy going is nowt to do with football tbf, he'd walk into tonight's side & be awesome linking up with Silva.

Ask any Everton fan...my best mate included...what they thought of Jos time there and see what answer you get...exactly what we thought of Jos time here before his meaningless friendly 'give a fuck' moments

I f he's like that for us, he'll be gone at Christmas though. If he plays well we have a new player. We have spaces in the squad, so it doesn't matter.
