Manchester City's Emmanuel Adebayor has told talkSPORT he is determined to leave Eastlands before the end of the transfer window.
Speaking after the Blues' 2-0 win against Timisoara in the Europa League, the former Togo striker stated he is ready to leave the club if an offer comes in for him.
The former Arsenal striker is one of the first dissident voices At City following the club's £100million spending spree over the summer.
Emmanuel Adebayor
Abebayor said: "The season is going to be very long and very difficult for myself. I'm a footballer and have to keep going and not give up. I need to keep fighting for myself and enjoying my football.
"If you're in a team and you're not playing, and there is a team that comes in for me, then I will definitely be on my way out because I'm a footballer and I love playing.
"So if I don't have a chance to play here there will a lot of chance to play somewhere else. If they [Manchester City] force you out then you always have to follow your destiny."

Yeah, lot of good it does walking around the pitch, doing fuck all. Really made his case last night.

Why am i not surprised that it was him who'd be the first to break ranks and run? If any offer came in i hope the club accept.

Suppose he can see himself being the next scapegoat for being "lazy" when Robbie leaves and is pre-empting the ones who already have made up their minds about him.

One thing is for sure is that if he DOES go...we need another striker

I can understand his concerns. We are only going to be playing 1 up front this season and that is Tevez. The back up to Tevez is going to be Balotelli.
Adebayor is far too good to be a 3rd choice striker at any club.

If we want to win things we have to have strength in depth. The mind boggles that players who came here to win things aren't able to tolerate a rotation policy in order to actually win things.
If Ade wants to go so be it but we would need another striker if he went.
Also worth saying a talksport exclusive doesn't necessarily mean its true, this is talksport we are talking about.

Just realised there was a sound bite of him saying it.
Yup its true, Ade is not happy on the bench. Can't see him leaving though, we'd want £25 million for him, a loan out for Ade is not an option!

We have only seen a couple of top performances from Ade and they were top performances, so he can do it if he chooses to and has his head in the right place. But two isnt good enough. He could get into the starting line up if he played to his potential but he never seems to do that. Having said this now i cant see how we will be keeping him. His head isnt there. Arsenal fans warned us of this attitude.
next.

Reality is few, if any, teams can afford his wages and tfr fee. He wont be going anywhere unless a) we get someone else in (Ibra) and b) if somebody comes up with a wad of cash.
If he shaped himself a little more he might find himself on the pitch. He's played 2 of the 4 games so far, come on as sub in another and done sweet fa, so how on earth has he justified selection in front of Tevez?

From players who can't make the grade. Anyone good enough and confident enough to want to fight for their place deserves that place when they finally get it.
Anyone who whinges that they're on the fringes can work harder at getting better or fuck off.

Has he said anything different to what he said the other day? I didn't hear the interview but he said the other day that he was willing to fight for his place but if he couldn't get games he'd probably end up leaving. Nowhere have I seen any quotes about him leaving before the end of the transfer window. Has he said that or is there some kind of communal wumming going on?

Agreed. But in the position we're in a lot of these type of players will be here.

Most have gone or are about to go. Ade & shay are the main doubts. What a shame we dumped Bellamy, who wanted to stay & fight for his place.

I guess Bellamy didn't fit in. He's got the talent, obviously. His personality was just at odds with Mancini and if it's a choice between the two, there is no choice.
