I've always thought he was a really really really shit player even for Fulham. Straight from the Thatcher Ball school for no pace, no brains, accident prone fullbacks. Johnson would have given him an even bigger shafting than he did the other numpty.

Hughes paid £17m for a centre forward who's a slow cripple, and £24m for a centre half worth less than half of that. On the issue of bad buys, we arent speaking from a position of strength.
Yes its downsizing by Liverpool, but Konchesky is actually better than what they currently have.

Hughes is a transfer market genius at times. Fulham will surely take points off us this season. We can count on that. Hughes + Dempsey will have me rating them as one of the biggest cunt teams around in about 4 months...i am sure of it. When, even though they've had our number recently, i was quite pleased to see what Hodgson was doing with them.

Yes but when you've got an unlimited transfer budget it's easier to do that, spending money that they barely have on a position where they have a player who is arguably as good as Konchesky doesn't make much sense when surely they need strengthening in other positions?
