Sorry if I've missed it, but what's the story with him, is he still injured or was his absence due to the crash?

I heaaard from this guy i know, thaaaat his sister's mate knows a guy who's facebook friends with the team doctor and he said

balotelli had a check to see if he could play and was ok but hasnt really been able to train so was left out and will be making his debut against blackburn at home and is planning on scoring 7 goals.

or something along those lines. But i happen to know for a fact his sister is a slag so she might just be chatting shit about it all and doesn't really have any friends.

I like it brother Ashton, I like it.

I think he'll score a brace against Blackburn and I'll fight any man who thinks he won't.

Or at least, I'll disagree with that man.

Am i right in thinking that he doesn't even need to be neamed in the 25 man squad as he is under 21?

Yes, so they say on SSN. Anyone under 21 does not have to be named, must be summat to do with the European thing.

Let's see how many come back unscathed from international duty now....FFS

he had his knee banged into by the drink cart on a plane, and it jacked up his knee again - could be in contention for blackburn i think

Don't seem to remember players getting this injured this often in the past, (except Trevor Francis maybe,)...
Is this just my imagination, new training methods or what?

I think there used to be more of a culture of playing through injuries though - all that machismo and 'no pain no gain' nonsense. (and maybe they didn't train as hard in the past)

Maybe he has a cut, but the problem that's keeping him out is a tendon injury that he has had for some time
