Juve leave out Buffon
Injured shot-stopper will not be involved in Europe
Juventus have omitted Italy goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon from their 25-man squad for the Europa League.
The Serie A giants, who have been drawn in this season's Group A alongside Manchester City, have left out the 32-year-old as he is recovering from injury.
Buffon is currently undergoing a rehabilitation period following surgery on the back problem he sustained during the World Cup.
Marco Storari, Alex Manninger and youngster Marco Costantino are the three goalkeepers Juventus have named in their list.
Other players to miss out are new signings Fabio Quagliarella and Alberto Aquilani, having already played in the competition for Napoli and Liverpool respectively.

Perhaps that's the real reason he was omitted hmmm?

It would've been nice but I guess it's good news as his replacement will hopefully be a step or 2 down ability wise

After all the decrepit spaz has been saying about us it is a shame for us not to be able to pay him back personally.. but tbh it will probably hurt even more for him to have to watch and not be able to do anything about it.

I wonder when we will be referred to as giants? What are the required qualifications?

Winning our domestic league 27 times might help.
A bit surprised he's not been picked, the injury must be bad. Good news for us though.

Me too. Would have loved to see the flying corpse pick 4 out of his net & feign injury every time he dropped the ball at a corner.

Buffon's got a fairly serious long term injury, reckon he could be out for the season.
Storari is a top keeper too though, dont think they'll suffer too much.

devasted that we won't get to see the best goalkeeper of his generation at the city of manchester but Storari's a good keeper and Manninger has improved a lot since his Arsenal days
