Great that he's got a couple of goals. Will really give him a boost & make him more likely to score for us. Downside is how dumb & headless SWP looks compared to him.

Just for some balance, a transcript of a Transatlantic mobile telephonic conversation from about 15 minutes ago:

Doomy: And that Adam Johnson kid from City scored for England again tonight.
Wife of Doomy: Oh, cool. That's fun. <pause> Maybe he could start scoring for City for a change?

doh....vicious woman. just vicious. She's nearly converted tho with an attitude like that i think.

cheers

AJ is the main example I use for why England's selection policy was off for the World Cup. He pushed out SWP playing on the wrong side for us but didn't make the squad while SWP did. He's the same player he was before the world cup. I don't have an issue with SWP, he's a good player but you have to wonder about why players have shot so far up the pecking order so quickly on the back of so little football.

Just another talented but extremely overrated english player who'll never be good enough for United.

In fairness, most people didn't expect him to have the immediate impact he's had.

And he shits on that one trick pony Walcott. He may not have Walcotts pace, though he's not exactly found wanting there, but he has vision, skill and can play both on the right and left. He brings other players into the game, his passing is excellant and he scores goals. What more do you want from an international player?

Walcott will improve a lot now though. While he's injured they're fitting him with a sat nav.

Will that be one of those Sat Navs that can direct you to the nearest hospital?

No, just to tell him when to turn left so he doesn't run off the end of the pitch..

We could get one for Adebayor;

"Off...side.."

"Off..side.."

"Off..side.."

"Off..side.."

"Off..side.."

"Off..side.."

"Resetting.."

"Off..side.."
