Has Bobby ruined Tevez?

Since he gave him the armband and free role he just doesnt seem to be getting in the right areas enough!
Too many time have we all seen Tevez literally taking the ball off one of our midfielders on the halfway line, someone needs to tell him to get his fucking arse back upfront!
28 goal he scored playing as an out and out striker last year, why change it!?

Seem to recall loads of players being shite for us, none of which were wearing armbands.
Tevez on the other hand has done OK this season. Missed one sitter, but so what?

I think he's still getting in the right areas enough mate. His shooting has just been piss poor imo.

I think it's a simple one really. He's tired, I know we all go mad when footballers complain about being tired and playing too many games and find it ridiculous but Carlos never stops he leaves tge pitch every game absolutely shattered and on top of that gets kicked from pillar to post for 90 minutes aswell. Sooner ade and mario are fit the sooner we will see tevez back to his best

I didn't think he was 100% but he still played well. There were a few occasions where a little bit of extra pace would have make the difference and I think he'd normally have had it.

I think the fact that he's up on his own is the reason, he needs to come back into midfield to get involved and lets face it he ain't gonna be winning headers in the box. I think if he had a strike partner he would have a lot more chances for him self but saying that he's not played that bad up to now.

Tevez is fantastic. He's playing in all areas as usual & as he does for Argentina but he needs people to actually play with him. A one two with Johnson or SWP is more of a 'one'. They just run off & shoot from wide angles most of the time rather than look to put him in. Compare Tevez' intelligent, patient ball to Vieira with what they produce from that position, different class. He needs another striker to play with him now Bellamy's gone. All the best stuff last season was between those two. Ade is bizarre & difficult to work with so it could be down to whether he can hit it off with Balotelli.
There's no guarantee he'll get 30 goals though however well he plays. If he keeps scoring at that rate it's a bonus rather than something to rely on, as he wasn't consistently that prolific the rags or Argentina.

Saturday's performance was more down to his calf injury and tiredness from midweek game and travel from Argentina

2 goals in 4 league games?
AND Tevez always starts the season poorly. I think he just cant be arsed with the physical training side of things, so it take him a month to get fully up to speed through pitch time.
Bobby has not ruined Tevez.

Bad position? You wot? You can't miss a sitter from a bad position, otherwise it isn't a sitter is it.
He was clearly injured on Sat and was still class.
And this is despite what Crrossie says being true.

Last season he was slow to get going due to an injury in pre-season (?) was off the pace and didn't score for quite a while.. Bolton was it. This year he missed pre-season due to the WC, has been back twice for intnls and has scored twice already.
Even though he was carrying a knock on Sat, had returned the night before he was almost up to speed, there is more to come definatley. On that evidence i would rather suggest that Mancini has gotten more out of him or improved him if anything.

Ireland was our best player and Les ruined him.
Tev was our best player now Bobby's ruined him.
Sorry mate but this just doesn't happen, some things are just down to the players themselves.

I thought that most of the time we steam-rollered teams it was with both Tevez and Adebayor on the field. Trouble is Yaya's appearance has taken the spot was Tevez was often occupying with Ade more up front. It'll be alright in the end!

MAybe I was being harsh on Bobby, not "ruined" but I still think he has given Tevez a bit TOO much freedom.
I'm sure i'm not the only one that has watch recent games and thought to myself there is no point him picking the ball up so deep when there is no one that is gonna be on the end of the pass.
I will be patient, but I get the impression we have another "untouchable" player developing. our players need to play in there best positions, for me he's a bit too deep (if Ade is on the field that's ok).

He's not a lone striker & never has been, he's not even a striker as such, more a 2nd striker. He moves, plays one twos, puts people through then attacks the box, that's what he does, for Argentina, for rags & then for City. He only comes deep so he can start a move off anyway which he'll be perfectly happy to score at the end of if people read it & get involved. It's obvious what the difference to Tevez is though; Bellamy. He was a striker playing wide not a wide player. He was looking for goals & to link with Tevez. SWP isn't even on the same planet as either of them, neither is Milner as an attacker or Johnson as a goalscorer. Balotelli was earmarked for that job but is injured & we don't have a replacement.
