Live on Channel 5 from info received from a work colleague.

Not on "Liveonsat" yet....anyone else heard this?? Truth it would appear

Live UEFA Europa League Football
Thursday 30 September
7:30pm - 10:10pm
Channel Five

Manchester City v Juventus

Manchester City v Juventus (Kick-off 8.05pm). Jim Rosenthal presents coverage of the clash between the Group A favourites at the City of Manchester Stadium, where Roberto Mancini's men play their first home match of the round-robin stage against a team very much familiar to the Italian manager. The 'Old Lady' are three-time winners of the UEFA Cup and will be expecting a tough match on English soil tonight, especially after having been unceremoniously dumped out of last season's competition in the last 16 by Fulham, when they lost the second leg of that tie 4-1 at Craven Cottage. Should he be selected, Patrick Vieira will line up against a team he played for in 2005/06 after leaving Arsenal, but one man who isn't expected to play is high-profile signing Mario Balotelli, who is suffering with a knee injury.

Just wondering what kind of a line-up people want to see for this game? On one hand it's a bit of a prestige match and we obviously want to win, on the other we can't play the same players from yesterday on Thursday and again on Sunday afternoon. A few changes for me, but still a strong team. Juve are just a name really, if we play to our potential we should have them- and if we do that, we're almost into the next round.

-----------------------Hart-------------------------
Boateng------Boyata------Kompany--------Lescott
-----------------de Jong-----Vieira-------------------
SWP-----------------------------------------------Silva
-------------------------Jo------------------------------
----------------------Adebayor--------------------------

It's a good opportunity for Boateng to get 90 minutes at a slower pace, I'd be weary of throwing him straight into a league game whereas this should help him get a feel for playing again. If he comes through it well we can think about Sunday. Boyata really does deserve another shot after playing so well yesterday but obviously now is the time because when everyone's fit it'll be much harder for him. Kompany alongside because I think Boyata looks up to him and can learn a lot from him. Could be Lescott or Bridge at left-back, depends on fitness.

With de Jong and Vieira there's not a great deal of creativity in midfield but I think Touré definitely needs to sit this one out, he looked finished by full time yesterday. Suppose Barry could be an option but we don't him overworked either. If we have the two above, they can keep things tight and both now have the ability to spread the play out wide. It's the kind of game where we should be using our superior pace so SWP if fit definitely should start. Couldn't decide between Silva and Johnson, but thought Silva might enjoy playing a more technical game and to let AJ do the classic winger role on Newcastle. Jo has to play, he's been great when given the opportunity, and this is Ade's chance to show us why he should be in the team.

Don`t think you`re far off. I would say ASJ instead of Silva.

I think we will play our strongest team in this game. Win the first 3 or 4 group games then look to rest players for the last few. No reason the players can't play 3 games in a week, especially this early in the season and all those games at home.

I think your probably about right as to what Bob will field, but as you ask what we would like to see, i'd like to see Milner in the central role.. so something bizzare like this..

Given
Boateng Kolo Kompany Zabba
deJong
Silva Milner AJ
Ade Jo
