It's nice to hear that he's eager to get back in contention, Robinhio would have been in Brazil now fannying around. Don't think we will see him till start of November.

Would be nice if he came back just in time to hit peak fitness for the derby and score a hat trick, all goal being over head kicks and the final one bouncing off Berbaflops head into Rooneys fat mug and splatting his nose across his face.

He's been more like luigi so far, waste of fucking space. Doubt he will be making any major impact this year. Maybe see something from him in january and the later stages of the season/cups.

In Super Mario Bros II on the Nintendo 8-bit, Mario was actually the waste of space, and Luigi was a great character. Mario was average at everything, whereas the three other characters all had special strengths and weaknesses. But imo, the strengths always more than compensated for the weaknesses. Luigi could jump like fucking crazy and turn direction in mid-air.

Geek post of the day. I will shut up now. Ashton's too fucking young to have played Nintendo 8-bit anyway ...

I wouldn't fancy being a defender getting in his way when he gets up speed, as he will be a massive presence for us up front.

I was actually at Carrington last Friday on business and almost bumped into him going into the toilet when I was coming out.

HE IS HUGE .... he nearly blocked the entire doorway ..... and it is one of those disabled size ones. He must be about about the same height as Ade but twice as wide.

I then saw him about 15 mins later in the Staff Restaurant eating the largest plate of food I have ever seen.

Can't wait to see him on the pitch ..... he is a man (or boy) mountain.

Encouraging stuff. Does he smoke 20 Bensons & drink 10 pints of Guinness per day as well?

Not yet, but going by his reputation, he probably will by the time he is 25.

What was interesting though is I heard him introduce himself to a member of staff as .... 'Super' Mario Balatelli.

I can't make my mind up as to whether that was a bit arrogant ..... or funny, in a tongue in cheek kind of way.

The guy's clearly got an ego and at times, I suspect there will be some vilification of something he has said on here i.e. Manchester's a dump, I want to play for Real, people on come to watch me etc and there will be plenty of NOTW stories about him roasting 20 virgins, on his own, whilst juggling cocaine. As long as he's got the talent to back it up, I'll put up with it. They had a similar problem across the road until recently, but he always did it on the pitch, except for in the big games, obviously. If we can get a similar player, without the gay looks, I'll be more than happy.

Tbh so long as his performances are as big as his head, I don't care. I think we need to realise that there's a fair chance he'll do a Robinho & have one eye looking to move on though. If he helps get us where we want to be, then we can replace him with another player of similar stature so everyone gets something out of it when he eventually goes. It could be that he'll develop a love for the club if he enjoys success with us of course but the liklihood is that he'll be producing his best in order to eventually further his own career elsewhere.
