DC United, the worst club in MLS, is reportedly interested in RSC.

Not sure if this merits it's own thread, but the transfer thread has gone away.

i can't imagine we'd be selling a forward given our lack of firepower there. Even RSC has some value for us which is beyond that of money...

Regardless, i'm unsure how the MLS transfer rules/salary caps, etc work...could they really pay something like 8M GBP/12M USD in a transfer fee? i bet that's what it would cost to land him.

cheers

No wonder they're the worst club, if that's their idea of a transfer target. What sort of idiot would pay good money for a permanently crocked rent-a-quote, who's only ever had one decent season in his entire career?

His signing would fall under the Designated Player Rule.

Yeah, DC could pay his salary under that rule. If City want a transfer fee though, I believe transfer fees are paid by MLS as a whole.

DC United is one of the better clubs in the MLS, except for the last 2-3 years.
they used to be top in the league.
