http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-1313740/Match-Day-dinosaur-TV-turn-says-Stan-Collymore.htmlok it is a bit ironic from Collymore, but whatever he is right and finally someone has the guts to come out and say it. He also makes a really important point about the totally biased editing of matches.
Someone needs to point out that motd is insanely patronising to all football fans. Surely even fans of Chelsea, Arse, Pool and the rags must get sick of the smugness that eminates from the bbc.
I hope this story gets some legs in the football press.

Can't stand the dogging, woman beating, thick twat and think he's got a bit of a cheek having a go at others for lack of knowledge but he's absolutely spot on. The show has become a shambles and the presenter and pundits seem more interested in trying to be funny, and failing miserably, than on offering insight into the matches. Goals on Sunday is far and away a better program.
John Motsons coverage of the Chelsea v Blackpool game at the weekend was the smuggest, most condescending, embarrassing commentaries I've ever heard. I would have been fucking fuming if I was a Blackpool fan. I'd also be inbred but that's beside the point.

I had Durham and Quinn on Talksport on in the car coming home. They slaughtered Shearer. Apparently he must've passed a comment asking Who Ben Arfa was. Durham and Quinn said it was embarrassing the someone being touted as a possible future England Manager hadn't done his homework on the player, even for a 45-60 minute program like MOTD.

Anyone see MotD 2, it made me cringe so much I ended up turning it off during our game (watched the next day mind). And it was nothing to do with Colin Murray who I can't stand, it was the way they are trying to bring a youthful edge whilst employing a neanderthal like Lawro stinking the place up with his backwards 60's jargon and nonsense defensive tactical bullshit. Who the fuck is this programme supposed to appeal to?
It's a disgrace to the modern game, and moreover, the paying British public!!!

Ps... The only people I would keep from MOTD, are Dixon and Keown. When they give an oppinion, they back it up with maybe some information on what a player could or should be doing. You might not agree with what they are saying but at least they validate their opinions. Lawrenson saying such an such were poor, without explaining why, no longer cuts it.
When slaven bilic was on last season, he showed them up, again because his explanations were refreshing.
I hope I explained that well enough! ;)

It's funny that Collymore should say 'you might as well Sky + MOTD and skip through the analysis' because that's exactly what I do these days and I'm assuming I'm not alone. I can't be arsed listening to the tripe coming out of Lawrenson & Hansen's gobs anymore and Alan Shearer? He's a thick as two short planks - absolutely hopeless as a pundit. I was amazed the Beeb bothered to poach him from Sky.

The same talksport who employed presenters who claimed they hadn't heard of Yaya Toure or David Silva before the world cup??!!
People in glass houses....

What do the likes of Lawro, Hansen, Keown and Dixon all have in common? That is the biggest problem for me as they are all so one dimensional and the first 2 very much one club biased. Bilic shows them up because he's had to look at the game from all angles like other manager pundits, where I also think the likes of Gullit bring an all-around expert opinion from experience of playing in a number of positions as well as from the touchline - when he talks about football, I want to listen.
If I can see this, please tell me why our boring, nondescript aunty can't?

Neither of those two were sports brodcasters, and they were both on the wind up to get irate muppet fans to call in.

MotD is just a fucking back scratchers club.
Linekers little inbred pals. It's a cliche of ex pro's who all get their cocks out and compare sizes just before the cameras roll

I don't watch MOTD; its just on in the background whilst I am doing something else. Its just a way of ensuring I can see every goal, basically.
As soon as the action finishes, the mute button gets pressed, until it starts again.
The mind boggles at how much those morons are paid to come up with the most boring 'analysis' imaginable.
But its their self-satisfied expressions that get me. There are complacency made flesh.

collymore is a fucking twat but motd does need a revamp. motson needs to be the first out of the door... twat.
linekear doesnt bother me so much. shearer, hansen and lawro are just boring.
while we are on the subject of revamping footy shows, both presenters on soccer am need binning off. get kammy to present it.

Whilst I agree with the sentiment I don't think modern football punditry is any different than it ever was. There's just too much of it.
There's only really so much you can analyse and doing it during MOTD then on MOTD2 then the following week on Football Focus as well as all the sports news clips in between is overbearing an repetitive. And it doesn't matter if it comes from 'dinosaurs' like Lineker and Hansen or from their sprightly, dynamic predecessors Lynam, Stubbs and, erm, Hill.
The fact is is could be anyone up there in a pastel shirt and St Tropez tan, they all spout the same bullshit, but that's because there is only so much bullshit to spout.
Plus anyone who thinks Ian Wright would bring anything to proceedings needs a fucking kick in the head.

Think you are giving them faaaaaar too much credit there.
I'm pretty sure the two in question were Parry who likes to pretend he's a sports presenter and some football 'journalist', can't remember who.
You could tell when that fan called in that they genuinely had little or no clue who the players were. There would be no reason for a football journalist to go on the wind up and make himself look a clueless cunt. Sometimes the simplest explanation is the correct one. He WAS a clueless cunt.

Spot on Buffalo fella. I listened to that particular programme and the City fan that rang in, made them look like the utter, bitter cunts that they are.

Same here. It wasn't just those two though. Collymore was saying similar things. They're all a bunch of lazy clueless cunts.
When TV punditry started, they used to have genuine current trophy winning managers & coaches amongst the panel. Allison & Clough for a start. Nowardays it's just rent a quote ex players & 2nd rate managers plugging their favourites & sucking Ferguson's cock.
P.S. Anyone else get creeped out by Martin Keown? Fucking strange bloke. I recon he's a serial killer.

I wont dispute that Collymore is a turd, or that talkshite is a deliberate attempt to wind up fans to phone in on premium numbers, but....
what collymore said was right, they are like a golf club ,saying the same old shite about those they love (so called big 4) and the same old shite that they like to snigger at (the rest of the prem)
I, personally would like to see our motd be on similar lines to the Irish version where the likes of Dunphy are allowed to say what they like. ( he might talk shit, but at least he is allwed an opinion, no matter who it offends)
To many old boys club in this country for my liking and faf far far too much PC bullshit.
Lets have motd like a fans forum, bollocks being spoke but at least opiniated bollocks

I don't think colly bollocks has it right.
Ok, the beeb is bias, obviously to get more people watching they show the bigger games more, who wouldn't?
And one thing that went straight against him is when he said he wants Ian fucking tosser wright on the motd show?
Seriously this guy is the biggest goon in football.
He talks shit.
Can;'t stand him, although he's funny.
Shit pundit.
Must admit though, Alan Hansan really pisses me off.
Never used to but he does now.
