Feeling a bit lazy today so I will post my good mate Neils from BMoon:

Got a chance to go along to Carrington today and see who was involved. A horrible day weather wise and the brolly was out today, Yaya and Ballotelli were first out.

To be honest i've seen Mancini put them through a lot harder sessions, but the talent on show was frightening.

Kolarov and Balotelli were involved in the full session as were Yaya and Boateng.

They started with the usual ball drills and squares with one touch.

They then split into two groups, to keep the Polish scouts on their toes i won't name the split squad, but the group that was left and we were able to watch them carrying on with the quick feet routines and one touch stuff was 8 probable starters for Sunday! The other group were all full internationals!!

DH was there and his comment was that for the first time except for MJ and Kolo we're now seeing the immense strength to our squad.

You just stand there and think when is someone going to pee on this bonfire because this is just starting to get a little bit exciting and we've not clicked yet.

Outstanding today was SWP, really lively and finished well albeit against Massimo the keepers coach, this was at the end with 5 a side. Tevez and NDJ were sat watching and laughing and barracking like Stadler and Waldorf, plenty of really good banter and craic.

Definitely not a strong session but very positive and the top spirit was shining through. The match at the end was not as intensive as some but watching Tevez and Nigel sat watching and chatting away together and rolling around laughing at times was great to see. Nigel doing an impression of Massimo diving ( falling slowly) for an SWP penalty was priceless.

Milner,Barry and Vinnie finished early and went inside but Boateng and Lescott ,who didnt take part in the game , did stay out to do one to one stuff.Even with the less intense session it was nice to get some glimpses of Mario's finishing and Kolarov's as well.

Mario fit for Thursday? Tevez having a rest, then virtually full strength against Arsenal....works for me!

Spuds and Swampies to drop points at the weekend, might have to make do with being five points clear of West Brom in third place!

No way should Mario be playing yet! Slowly slowly catchy monkey, another week training and squeeze in a reserve game I think

Great report form todays session, thanks Neil and Doug.

Interesting that seeing nearly the whole squad together gives you that sense. When the attack starts to click in games we are going to scare the livings out of some teams.

will be interesting to see who gets rested for the Poznan game.

Great post. Quiet articulate and well thought out. Superb prose and truly informative.

Doug, you could take a leaf out of this young fellows book.
