Sorry to start a new thread, but I'm really interested in understanding the feelings of those who want Wayne Rooney at our club. To make it more balanced, I think it's only right to understand those that don't.

I have tried to cover most points of view, apologies if yours isn't described perfectly, just try and find the statement closest to your views

I would like to have multiple choice. I don't like him because of who he is and because of him being a rag.

It's between top and bottom, so I went for the easiest. I despise the cunt for who he is, not where he comes from, though it helps.

I went for option 1 - I dislike him because of who he is and don't want him

Same here. I voted the first option, though, as some rags I have little or nothing against (Scholes and Van der Sar, for instance).

However, I wonder whether I'd dislike him so much if he'd never played for them.

Also, I doubt the media would have taken so much interest in his personal life had he not been playing for the rags, nor his girlfriend been Hello!'s main selling point, which is largely due to him playing for them, too.

Where's the option that I'd take him so I could forever and a day take the piss out of my Irish relatives that they had to sell their star player to us.

Can I just say, when you look at the England squad, he is part of the jigsaw that is missing.
