Left-Back for Arsenal.

Nice to see Kolarov back but I think it will be too soon for him. Really don't fancy seeing Bridge up against Walcott on Sunday! With Kolo likely to be out I don't think Lescott will move out there unless he's going to play Boyata as CB. The only other option really is Mad Zab. He isn't really full of pace either but I'd still rather have him against Walcott than Bridge.
Boateng could possibly do a job if we had Micahat right back. So many options it seems.

Either way, there's going to have to be plenty of covering and helping out from Barry.

The players you have listed are more likely to play for City.

After the Chelsea game I have full confidence in Zab.

I think I'm leaning more towards Zab than any of the others. If he can give Walcott a knock early on as well we might just see him out of the rest of the game.

I thought Zab did enough last night and previously to be seriously in contention this weekend. I read Sagna could probably start against us on their right, so I'm hoping he plays as poorly for them as the last two matches I saw of theirs.

I think Zab would do the job

I like Zab at left back, he's a lot less sure of himself and therefore, less "gung ho" and prone to mistakes - I would put him in there for sure

If Walcott is on form and pacy:
  • Zabaleta = penalty given away
  • Bridge = beaten for pace time and again

Tough call, but with Barry and/or De Jong and YaYa helping out on the flanks the full backs have received some good back up this season. In fact Barry has won the ball off the right winger many times when they have beaten our left back. Barry is slow but positionally he is good at mopping up loose balls.

If Touré was fit I'd be inclined to go with Lescott at left-back. He's solid if unspectacular there whereas he's been pretty poor in the middle. As it is I'd go with Zabs on the left, and actually I'd be tempted to have Micah right back with Boateng and Kompany as centre-halves.

I'd go for Boateng. He likes to get forward a bit and I think there might be a bit of room for him to do so (especially if three of Barry, Yaya, Milner and NDJ play and pack the middle out). I think it's about time he got 90 minutes in a really high-intensity game too.

This is working on the assumption that Richards is pencilled-in to start at RB. I'd guess it will probably be Boateng at RB and Zabba at LB.

I'd hope Boateng too will be our left back vs Walcott. He seems to me fast and furious enough to calm down Theo!
