Mal's Memorial

Anyone else go?

Quite a moving ceremony, especially Tony Book & Buzzers bits.
Only thing was just before it started, It had on the screen above the stage
"Malcom Allison 1927-2010".
I pointed it out to a couple of the supporters service guys (the ones with blue tabards with "ask me a question" written on them).
I said "is anyone aware they've spelt his bloody name wrong", they looked and one then said "oh yeah, his surnames wrong". I left them to it at that point, but they must have spoken to someone about it as the screen went blank a minute later.
A bit careless I thought.

Only managed to catch it on the radio on the way to the game but it sounded like a good service. Saw Tony Books speech on Sky Sports this evening and it was very moving.

I see Mr Cook dropped a bit of a Gary though.

"The word Legend is used too often these days but I think everyone would agree that it is not applicable to Malcolm"

Nice one Gary.

Bearing in mind Cook's Nikeee experience, he is one big fuck off PR nightmare.

Sorry to be a total smartarse here but Cook didn't actually get this wrong, I've just been watching the game back on Sky + and here's his direct quote

".. the terms 'great' or 'legend' are often overused in football, but I think few will argue they're not applicable when it comes to Malcolm Allison.."

He's still a cock though!

I though it was a classy event and credit to the club for it.
